Summary
For years, Johnny Dingle has harbored a seemingly unattainable dream, to win the heart of the town beauty, Missy McCloud. In an act born as much in desperation as devotion, Johnny schemes to pose as a masked thief who holds up the convenience store where Missy works. According to his plan, Johnny prevents the "robbery," saves the day, and convinces Missy to go on a date - all in one heroic gesture. But fate intervenes. Johnny discovers too late that a real armed robbery is in progress. He takes a bullet in the stomach, thereby rescuing Missy, but paying the ultimate price. Sprawled there in front of the cash register, he askes Missy for a date. she agrees, and Johnny promptly expires. They say when you're dead, you're dead. However, Johnny's not about to let such earthly matters stand in his way. To prove that true love never dies, Johnny comes back from the grave -- determined to go through hell and back just to keep his date with Missy
